La Paz is located about 1000 miles (1,500 km) from the northern border on the transpeninsular highway where it connects with California and its different cities including San Diego and many more.
By land, the journey from San Diego to La Paz is made by hundreds of drivers from the United States and Canada every year, as if they were migratory birds, escaping from the freezing winter in the north of the continent to the tropical lands of La Paz and returning north after the winter.
By air, the route from Tijuana to La Paz can be made with Volaris throughout the year with affordable rates, even for short trips departing from the Tijuana airport and connecting with the United States through the Cross Border Express (CBX).

The CBX is a closed pedestrian bridge for passengers from Tijuana Airport (TIJ) who cross the border between the United States and Mexico. Among the benefits of this bridge is that you can get directly to the airport, avoiding congestion and delays that could be generated at the Otay Mesa and San Ysidro border crossings. In addition, the CBX has parking in Otay Mesa to leave the car, or take one of the shuttles or taxis from San Ysidro, San Diego or Los Angeles.
When you cross the bridge, you will be practically in the waiting room to board your flight to La Paz. In La Paz you can enjoy its beautiful beaches, visit Espiritu Santo Island, swim with whale sharksor enjoy delicious local food. After your trip, you can use the CBX to comfortably return home.
