Golf enthusiasts will be pleased to learn that the CostaBaja Golf Club really hits the mark when it comes to curated courses. The course was the first to be designed by World Golf Hall of Fame inductee Gary Player – and the only one of his designs found in Mexico. Since it opened in 2010, the 385000 sq. metre course has won multiple awards including being listed as the Best Course in Mexico by Colorado Avid Golfer (2014) and 7th Best Golf Course in Mexico two years in a row by Golf & Spa Magazine (2011/2012).

However, the real claim to fame for the course is that nearly every hole features a view of the Sea of Cortez. Players will be challenged by a variety of terrains and features in this desert-meets-the-sea landscape. A whopping 14 of the 18 holes have either a full or partial view of the Sea. The par 72 course is as technically challenging as it is visually stunning. On the 8th hole, players will be forced to swing past a lake water feature and onto a green surrounded by cacti. But it’s the back nine that will really stun players. The 16th hole is located closest to the Sea of Cortez but don’t let the views distract you – the cacti dotted around the 17th and 18th hole make finishing the game a nail biter. Stay and play packages with the CostaBaja Resort means that guests can enjoy the beautiful course and resort together.
