The vibrant scenarios of La Paz continue to capture the attention of important sporting events of international stature by finding new and unparalleled challenges in the deserts, beaches and trails of the destination; For this reason, the capital of Baja California Sur was chosen as the first place in America where the Titan Series MTB Stage Race will take place.
From November 12 to 16 of next year, one of the most important MTB adventures in the world will take place in the deserts and trails of Baja California Sur, this being the first time that MTB Titan Desert leaves its place of origin that is Morocco.
Luis Humberto Araiza, Secretary of Tourism, Economy and Sustainability of Baja California Sur, thanked the Tourism Boards of the State and La Paz, and As Deporte the opportunity to promote the benefits offered by the destination. "Hosting this important sporting event is a way to expose La Paz and the state of Baja California Sur to the world."
The competition will consist of three stages of 100 kilometers each, in which, over the course of three days, 400 national and international participants, mainly from South America and Europe, will travel spectacular paths that will cross desert and mountains with the Sea of Cortez background, making it a unique experience. On November 12 competitors will be welcome; The first stage will begin on the 13th and the third will end on November 15.
Fátima Avilés, director of La Paz Tourism Board, noted that the Baja California Sur capital has the necessary conditions to host events of this magnitude. "In addition to having unparalleled landscapes, La Paz has the necessary infrastructure so that both participants and their companions enjoy their experience with us by being in contact with nature, tranquility and the warmth offered by the destination."
The realization of this race will mean for La Paz and Baja California Sur an estimated economic impact of 100 million pesos, in addition to being an important impulse to continue strengthening and positioning the scenarios of La Paz as one of the preferred destination for sports and adventure travel.
